A Place to Call Home

I was at home for a whole day. No classes on Friday. Haha... Pity others who have classes. But I have to admit that I've done nothing beneficial during the whole duration. Unless you're bored that you want to play video games and Sony is a brand you support.

On Saturday, something hilarious happened. It all begins about 4pm, when me and my classmates went down to Kelana Jaya to see a music concert which one of our friend was going to perform. We passed the Kajang's toll plaze about 4.50 and reached our destination about 5.15? I cannot comprehend how we were able to arrive so soon. Lolz. My hypothesis: 'P-licence' drivers are generally dangerous drivers.

One thing that I've learned from attending the concert was music truly is a universal language. The melodious tune of the electone and the grand piano have left a deep impression in my sealed mind. I was really happy to listen to a live version of Symphonic Poem 'Hope'. I guess the live version was a better total-experience than the pre-recorded one in my computer, huh. Then I've realized another thing. Who are the two background dancers on stage, they kinda looked like.... my classmates? Deng... only at that moment that I've learned there are a total of 3 people from our secondary school who further studied in music at the Yamaha Music Academy. The more the merrier? I kinda felt like a mini-version school reunion. Gotto grab the photo we took together from Jun Han or Edwin soon.

After the concert, the trio of company, in the presence of a new member, Jia Huang, went to Sakae Sushi in Sunway Pyramid for dinner after heavily recommended by you-know-who... But again, I admit that the food there is a standard higher that those of Sushi King. Yet, this meal made another hole in my close-to-empty wallet. Then we decided to spend some time at the game arcade before heading home. Here's the funny part, which I'll describe in my best effort:

Part One: Introductory

We went in the arcade arena. There are many machines, mostly new ones. I saw 2 Time Crisis 3 machines placed side-by-side, only one is occupied. The four of us went to observe the foreigner's gameplay. Then, I saw the 2p screen have the health indicator with two remaining lives. Spontaneously, I pick up the gun and stepped the peddle. I tried hitting the trigger on the toy gun. Nothing really happened. Then the screen turned red for a moment and the health indicator was reduced to one. Then I had this inner thought, "OMG!" And then I started playing... for free.

Part Two: Climax

A hilarious change in events.

After approximately 3 minutes of gameplay, l lost the remaining live and decided to give up playing. To our surprise, the foreigner took a token and put into my slot. He smiled at me and asked me to continue. Again, my mind went (O.o). So I ended up continue playing...playing...playing for 10 minutes? Each time it was supposed to game-over already, he looked at me then pointed to a stack of tokens on the machine. Reluctantly I put one token...then another..and another... In the end, when there was about 5 tokens stacking on the machine, I bowed at him and dragged my pals away from the area, from further embarassing myself.

Part Three: Aftermath

Before we left, Edwin and I tag-teamed for Time Crisis 2. Although I had a higher score at the beginning, eventually Edwin proof to be the better player as he outlasted me in time and also score. Gotto keep up my training in arcade-shooting game.

Before heading back, we went for a short walk. As I was half-way talking to Edwin, Jun Han nudged me and pointed at a person in a shaddy green jacket, walking alone towards the opposite direction. Then I'ver realized that he is the foreigner who funded my entertainment cost. I wanted to talk to him and thanked him, but we crossed path and in a split of a second, he was about ten meters away from our company. I cursed myself for not grabbing the opportunity to greet him earlier as I watched him disappear from my sight. He's a lone ranger in a sea of people, just like I've used to be. Silently, I wished great fortune would fall upon him for his generosity towards me who is a total stranger.

Thanks to JW for his effort. I'm honoured and also indebted to him for doing such a splendid job.
