Sayonara Memories

I've spent an entire week focusing only on my assignments and test.

Friday's booze failed to shake off all the stress that I've accumulated over the week.

Luckily, today's Bunkasai at UNMC was just awesome. I would like to hang out more with my pals from MAG club.

I have once read such a T-shirt message:

Growing old is inevitable
Growing up is optional

Well, some people just would not grow up from being the assholes they've been in the past. But I definitely need to grow up and leave all these people behind.

I hereby attached a disturbing video clip of Mcdonald in hope that you all would be less stress after watching it. At least it worked out for me.

Back to December

One of my friend thinks that I've not been updating regularly. How true is that?

Firstly, I would like to thank TC for taking the initiative to contact me after coming back from India. Once again, I have to mention that the time I spent studying SAM was the best year of my life and my friends from SAM are some of my closest friends. I'm truly glad to be able to meet up with a few of those from SAM 2008 batch today.

This reminded me that I've not got the photos from last year's Redang trip with them. I really wanted to print out some of the photos from the trip along with all the photos that I've collected over these few years. But sadly, most of them are abroad at the moment. Wonder when I could get my hands on those photos?

These kind souls that I've met up today also reminded me that I have friends that I could really contact when I needed someone to listen to all my rants. Thank you, my friends.

Likewise, I had just realized how much my family members loved me. But still, it's hard for me to strike up a conversation with them. For instance, the common topic between me and my dad would always consisted of the following keywords: market, investment, commodity. Do note that I have almost zero knowledge on economics. Guess I must really brush up my "small talk" skills on work and weather, as mention in the lyrics for Taylor Swift's Back to December.

P/S: Taylor Swift's new album is awesome. So is Shinedown's album, The Sound of Madness.

If This Is A Movie

My first anime review.

Library War (also known as Toshokan Sensou) is all about idiots, guns and books. How these 3 components come together in an anime series? Well, you have an idiotic teenage girl who joins the army to follow the footsteps of her Prince Charming. Then you have a male protagonist works hard to make sure his subordinate does not be an idiot as he used to be in the past. More importantly, this army company that the protagonists go to arms in order to protect the books that they love.

Yup, books.

To be more precise, the theme of this anime's plot is the will to protect what they believe in. In this case, the anime characters protect books. So yea, this anime reminded us to protect our knowledge, our freedom and everything else that we appreciate. But I'm definitely not asking you to revolt against the (Malaysian) government!

In the anime setting, there is no freedom in the media (somewhat reflects the situation of Malaysia). Thus in such a situation, armed companies are set up in libraries by the local government to defend literature pieces from being confiscated by the federal government. For Malaysians like myself, it's easy for us to relate the anime setting to our daily lives where our freedom of speech and other rights are at jeopardy and being violated all the time.

Toshokan Sensou pratically reminded my of my years as a librarian during my secondary school life. If being librarian means you have to call to arms to guard books in a library, I bet that my past secondary school life would have been a blast indeed!

So if you could relate yourself to the theme of this anime, you would definitely enjoy this anime series!

Pride

I like the Duchess's design (the little girl in stripes) from the manga Are You Alice?

Am I pedophile? Hahahaha...
