Sign of Victory

OMEGA Project officially ended yesterday! Though some might be relieved that they would not be tortured any further, I do think that I will miss the programme. After all I did get to know a bunch of awesome friends and great teammates!

So thanks to the OMEGA committee members for making this learning process happening!

The 1 month long programme also reaffirmed my stand of saying "YES!" to all opportunities! Coz' you will never know what are the obstacles and opportunities that are coming your way.

Yesterday, I tried my best to console a heartbroken friend.

It's really sad to see a friend to just breakdown in front of you. And as a caring friend, I could only wished that I could be of some help and not just feel so helpless as she cried. So guys, don't be a jerk who would not clear things off with your girlfriends. I do, however know why her boyfriend acted that way coz' I might have done the same if I was that guy. It's probably a 'man' issue.

Her tears were just flowing off like a river as she spoke out her pain and suffering. And being a person who has ZERO experience in those L matters, I merely listened and sympathized. Any comments I gave was from an academician's point of view which might have been harsh to whoever who listen to the comments. But I just do not know the word to say.

I admit that romance is definitely not my cup of tea...

Breakeven

To begin with, I'm going to quote a comment given by an Australian bloke about the recent World Cup matches which I strongly agree with his opinion.

"Rugby players spent 90 minutes on the field pretending that they were not injured where else football players spent their 90 minutes on the field acting as if they were hurted by any given chance. "

Having a hard time this week, figuring how to write a progress report and draft a research proposal. My work organization was at its worst and I am getting no work done just by staring at the laptop screen. But I could be staring at it for hours without getting any work done. And I am blaming PPStream for this.

Ah... how I wish for a bowl of Pan Mee right now. Kajang does have several great stalls selling Pan Mee. One of the many things I miss about my hometown.

But one thing I like to put it straight: I don't want to go home, not when my neighbour's dog would wake my up from my beautiful slumber whenever I am sleeping at home. No no no... I would not want to go home and not get any rest.

I Will Be

I've just finish watching my first football match in my life. In the past, I would have fall asleep halfway during the game.

Today, I cheered and shouted as Argentina trashed South Korea 4-1 on FIFA World Cup 2010 even as I am a South Korea fan in heart. I did not feel shy to do so even as I was surrounded by friends and strangers alike. Guess football really worked its magic and demonstrated that sports can really bring people together.

The euphoric feeling from watching the football match was definitely memorable. And now I take back my words that watching football matches is boring and stupid. But this doesn't mean that I will be a football fan.

Add-ons:
Originally went to check out a campsite by Sg. Pisang last Sunday, my friends and I ended up playing water in the river. When we were just about to have fun, one of my friend said that he lost his glasses. Then we started looking for the glasses.

Some tried to look to the bottom of the river. Others searched for the item with their feets. After 10 minutes of search effort, the owner finally got back his prized possession.

But right after that, I realized that my own glasses that was hanging on my shirt was now missing. So everyone continued their search effort for another 15 minutes. When I asked everyone to stop searching for the item, I saw a silver-coloured metal near my feet. I quickly reached for it and pulled that metal piece from the water body and noticed that it was my own glasses.

I was definitely relieved to get back my glasses as I expected that it was lost for good.

From this experience I definitely learnt to appreciate my belongings more. But I totally forgot about that moral lesson the very next day. After all, I lost MYR10 the day after the incident at the river due to carelessness T_T

Summer of 69

One upon a time, there was a stupid conversation between two intellects.

Me: Sir, can I have your sperm?

Sir: Oh yea, it's right there in the microcentrifuge tube.

Me: ...

Sir: Don't you mean the sperm single-strand carrier DNA?

Me: Yea, right. Whatever.

Ocean Avenue

Sorry sis I could not make it back home to celebrate your birthday. Had too much fun here with my friends at INTI. But of course I am also burdened by loads of coursework and club activities that I've been stalling for weeks.

Either way, I was looking forward to go to Bukit Tinggi with my friends. I have never been to that place and through the photos taken by others, Bukit Tinggi should be a great place to go to relax and enjoy after enduring weeks of lectures, assignments and other activites...

Think about... the cold mountain air....
the cool weather...
the beautiful scenary...
and also my favourite greenaries~

But in the end, the plan was foiled and replaced with... a trip to Malacca! Ruey2, get ready coz' here we come! You won't be running away though~

It was a fun trip. Compared to going on a trip with poorly acquainted people, I bet we had more fun considering we are the best of friends. To be honest, most of us are already very familiar with Malacca and its tourist attraction. As such, our trip was aimed to be gathering among friends and not some another tour around Malacca.

Btw, if anyone can mention any attraction in Malacca which is worth going, I am most willing to know of! My pal Ruey2 challanges anyone, including Melakans, to list them out! After all, being a Melakan, he had ran out of places to bring friends around his hometown~

But we had lots of fun in our 1-day trip at Malacca. To be honest, I think it is a great place to go to for the weekend, but probably not for long period of stay haha~
We enjoyed... ice-blended coconut shake...
Mild sea breeze...
Satay celup which was in fact most unhygiene...
And also the most awesome laksa we ever taste...

To boot, there was even fireworks at the end of the trip, which was not intended for us, but rather for the birthday of this country's leader I think. But still the fireworks was a great finale to this awesome trip!

I think it will be hard to organize any trips in the near future. After all, everyone else will be busy with their own studies. In fact, most of them are set to fly off in the next half a year to complete their studies abroad.

Let's just hope everyone would have time to have another gathering before anyone in the clique fly off to continue their studies abroad.

Add-ons:
Practically we stuffed 7 healthily growing teenagers into one Honda CRV. At one stage one of my leg got cramped. As we were walking towards our destination, my leg begin to lose momentum until I could no longer move that leg. I was practically paralyzed and just stood helplessly, waiting for the muscle cramp to go off. After 2 minutes, my friends realized that I was missing then came running back to the car park and said, " Why don't you shout for help?"

...

To ask for rescue just because of muscle cramp, I deem such a reason as insignificant and refused to ask for help. But still it was silly to stand in the middle of the road alone with a strong sense of helplessness.

I really should have asked for help at that time...
