Love & Roll

People said I'm blunt.

I have to admit, at times I said things that would hurt the feeling of other peoples.

But if my honesty hurt you, do tell me. Then I will comfort you with lies.

P/S: I'm getting better at lying after watching the movie The Invention of Lying.

After the incident at the class representative meeting, I cannot help but to think that honesty wasn't really a good thing. Well, the movie The Invention of Lying made me further question my bluntness as some people seemed to be happier when they are being told of lies.

In one scene, the public cheered as the main character of the movie, Mark lied to them about the existence of God, heaven and hell. The lies Mark told put people in peace as people could now blame God for all of their own mistakes and problems. It seemed to me that humans just would not accept their faults and problems as part of their own doings but rather put the blame on a non-existent man-in-the-sky.

I am sad, not because the people around me do appreciate what I do, but because these people were not sincere and honest towards me.

Know Your Enemy

Just a month after 1st of January, I broke my new year resolution and started eating instant noodles.
At least now I know that my determination and resolution could only be stretch that far...

Btw, I did have one of the most memorable Chinese New Year this year.
After all, who ever tried visiting friends at midnight for angpau?
I just did a week ago during the 9th of the Lunar calender.
At the beginning I was afraid to be a bother to the host.
Yet the experience was just awesome and I get to know my housemates' girlfriends (literally).
I also spectated an amazing firework display as the host burned a huge stash of them right after her family done the praying ritual.

Looking back at these last 2 months, I've realized that I made more enemies than friends.
These enemies, with their amazing poker faces, just make me totally disgusted.
Still, I am glad that I am able to live through this hellish life because I have great friends to back me up.
Special thanks to my old buddy Uncle Alex for organizing a primary school reunion party cum birthday party.
Sadly, I was not able to catch up with everyone during the party.
Similarly, I'm glad to have Marvin and Edwin as buddies.
The same could be said to all five housemates of mine.
Not to forget my clique who I could call for yamcha every Friday.
