Lean on Me

There will be a blood donation drive this week at INTI-IU. This time I hope that I can successfully donate blood. I failed miserably in my previous attempts to donate blood. My blood will stop flowing halfway to one full pack. Guess I either have low blood pressure or my blood just agglutinates too fast.

Oh yea, I remembered that I nearly fainted the last time I attempted to donate blood. Wonder will the same thing happen again this week?

The only member of Glee cast who I can recall was the nerdie guy who was on the wheelchair. After all, I've never watched an episode of Glee, but I really like the complete OST from Glee Season 1.

100 awesome songs sung by the Glee cast, now can be found in the hard disk of my dear laptop.

This weekend I finally had time to use my Wacom tablet and my colour pencils. Time flies and it's the end of the month already. After not drawing anything for a long while, I definitely felt I could not draw as well as in the past. After all, I recalled that I always doodle in class or in lecture. The time spent doodling was in fact one of my happiest time in my life.

Just Be Friends

"What the the 3 nevers in life?"

My group members discussed and argued heatedly on the answers to this question.

Strangely, one of the answer I got was "never conform".

How I wish that is practical.

But life demanded the opposite from me.

Conformity seemed to be necessary to survive in this competitive and collective society.

Can I not conform?

On the bright side, I had the fullest life in INTI this semester.

Never had I been so into student activities or sports.

And I have to say that I'm glad that I grab the opportunity that was offered to me.

Now I'm living life like I never did.

F.U.N

Calling out to all SCANDAL and Paramore fans!!! Both bands are coming down to South East Asia! Can this get any better?

Paramore will be performing at Bukit Jalil on the 19th of October, Tuesday.

Paramore! Paramore! Paramore!

On the other hand, SCANDAL will be performing on the 14th of November at Singapore during AFAX (Anime Festival Asia) with many other Jap pop artists. Tickets are selling from $55 (Singapore dollars of course). But can I even afford them?

I wonder if students at INTI Nilai are feeling the pinch from the constant changes that are happening? From what that I can see, the employment of student-centered learning equals to more coursework and assessments, particularly for final-year courses.

By the way, have I mentioned that final-year courses here are not easy at all? Now I spend all my (previously) free time reading journals and revising lecture notes.

No time for sports. No money for outing. No time and money for girls.

After overcoming last week's storm, now it's time to embrace a whole new week of problems and homework! But I know what can cheer me up: tickets to the concerts!

Or I can just continue to dream on. At least it does not cost anything to dream~

OVER DRIVE

Now I seriously felt offended. There is so much work to handle and the only thing you had to say to me in a committees' meeting is "you need a haircut".

Even before yesterday's meeting, I always knew that my hair is messy.

But nevertheless, that's my hair. My personal issue. A private matter.

The following message is intended to my fellow team members:

I can't believe some people thinks my looks could be affecting work when these people are preaching about being professional in dealing with their job and responsibility and yet failed to distinguish personal issues from official matters. If anyone actually had that in mind, that I suggest to you to recruit or hire pretty faces or some dumb blondes instead.

When it comes to work, I tried to do my best. You all demanded that I need to wear a coat and I have to buy one in the shortest notice when I know I do not need one. My job scope is unrelated to any of yours, but I desired to help out as I saw you all were very busy with your respective work. And instead of appreciation, all I got was complaints for sticking my nose in your matters.
A big sorry for being such a busybody. I decided to leave you on your own.

I wish that humans could focus less on physical attractiveness and try to look into the greater beauty inside. I understand it's difficult. But I know it's not impossible. So do not let your current mindset obstruct you from growing in wisdom, my dear friends.

***************************************************************************
To my fellow readers, I am sorry to lash out like this but I seriously do not know who can I talk to about this issue and I was damn desperate. However, if you have read this post and would like to help ease my suffering, please chat with me. Thanks in advance.

Sigh. My sad life at INTI-IU.

All the Right Moves

Guess I should stop hesitating and just get on with life.
But I still wanna defer one semester and go to USA.
Life is definitely not waiting. Sigh.

Toxic

It's not a big deal, but I am glad that I successfully survived 14 days in KL without PC and internet. Unlike my elder brother who could not live one single day without internet connection.

My work in KL also brought up a new habit of eating apples. Previously I rarely eat fruits. Strangely, I now like to munch on an apple while walking. Munch...munch...munch... I like to annoy those hungry people who are walking to classes or to workplace by munching loudly...

It's not that I was reminded of Britney Spears when I chose the post title. But being sick for the past 3 days, I cannot help but to think that I must have had an unhealthy lifestyle.

Day 1: Flu and fever
Day 2: Flu persisted, fever subsided, sore throat came into the picture.
Day 3: Flu remained, fever and sore throat gone, but had diarrhea.

Hopefully the following will happen~

Day 4: Recover and ready for action!

But work still had to be prioritized. Hence, being part of the Orientation Programme organizing committee, I still had responsibility to carry out. Thankfully no hard labour was involved. Haha~

I was reminded ( at least a thousand times) to get a haircut. But as a loyal member of the counter-culture faction of society and a maverick of the mainstream fashion culture (something which I am very proud of) I will keep my hair for as long as I could.

I was on the verge of dyeing my hair red (I seriously wanted green ever since I was young, but I was afraid that my hair might be mistaken by herbivores as grass and eat it instead =.="), but luckily my financial constriction is holding me back.

Luckily.

Lips of An Angel

Today I brought back one whole year supply of
lecture notes and lab manuals
The paper bag holding them was at the brink of breaking
due to the heavy weight
If my bag was any lighter, I might have brought this cat back home

But these written papers
along with all my assignments and lab journal
helped me to get through my tests and finals

While packing these lecture notes
I cannot help but to reminisce
about the past 3 semesters (3 semester = 1 year)
somewhat similar to a debriefing session

  • Did I grow wiser? Or I became more self-centered?
  • Am I any taller? I definitely wished I did!
  • Did I make any new friends?
  • What are the interesting events that happened?
  • What were my mistakes?
  • Did I fulfill my expectations?
  • How many times I skipped class?

Do try it yourself
and tell me what you gained or lost in your uni life!

A new semester! A new beginning!

I definitely regretted
for being reluctant try out new things in secondary school
but uni life gave me a second chance

P/S: Personally I hope to get one warning letter before I graduate!
