This semester's schedule is really screwed up.
No classes on Monday, but at the expense of one subject: Sociology. Well, that's a small price I have to pay. I desperately need that extra holiday with such a packed schedule installed for me this semester. I am going to have 3 2-hours lab sessions this semester, try beating that you guys!
Working as a student helper this semester would really help me to support myself. My job consists of filling tonnes of records, but once in a while I would be asked to do some running errands. Well, that's because I am the only male among all the student helpers at OAR. Just like how malesare a rare commodity in my classes this semester. Probably I should just save all of my salary. That would certainly one step closer to my dream of going abroad. But I personally think that a few hundred bucks cannot accumulate into 100k before I turn 25. XD
Meet my new arsenal of lecturers for this semester:
My Chemistry lecturer talks of lame jokes and even sprout out nonsense at times; Biology of Organism's lecturer is a philosopher; Organization & Management's lecturer is really straightforward in her words and I really like that feature of her, but this is a business subject after all and I bet I am going to get into trouble with her, eventually; my Molecular Biology lecturer is an outgoing person, but he also finds it fun to tease me (why me out of all the people?)
There's the annual Wesak procession this Friday at Sungai Chua, Kajang and I am dying to participate in the parade to get experience for the past few years. I was scheduled to have classes until 6pm. Luckily class was dismissed at 5pm and therefore I was able to make it to the procession. Being a first timer I wasn't sure what to do before the procession begins. However, I met a few ex-schoolmates and things became more fun. Or else it would look like another solo expedition for me.
The crowd gathering beside the streets was overwhelming. One of my friend was saying that it was comparable to Shanghai. True enough as I estimate there was about 5k people who came to witness the annual parade. The procession was definitely fast. Within 2 hours we were able to get back to Sungai Chua. I deemed that this walk was not enlighting at all. Kids and adults alike were running after the floral cars in order to be soaked with "blessed water" sprayed onto devotees by monks. Only the elderly can find peace among the disorder around them.
Hahaha, I sudah jalan tahun lepas.
ReplyDeleteAnd I stay away from the 'mini fire engine'
And for me, it was veryyyyy boring because I walk with a pair of very un-entertaining people. A 'non-couple'. It was a very AWKWARD situation.
never join the event before~sob
ReplyDeleteIt's just an activity for me to kill time. Lolz.
