The Genesis

I'm announcing that I am accepting art commissions!

Yes, I'll draw an A4-sized drawing of anything you want for a price: a meal! Yes, knightalex will provide such a service as long as you treat me a meal, a petty price to pay for my inexperience, low-class drawings! No toning, no colouring, just plain back and white lineart. Do send me a reference photo (a photo of yourself if u want a portrait). No time frame though.

Anyways, here's life lesson number 2: actions doesn't count!

Remember of the old saying 'It is the thoughts that matter'. I used to believe that it is the actions that really important. And the harsh reality implies that both idealogy applies only in perfectionism. The public wants to hear... yeah, they want to hear the words, regardless of the credibility of those words. Those pleasant white lies is what they want to hear. They want their needs to be satisfied. They So now I truly understand where I stand: isolated from the public a lone ranger along the Fool's journey. So in other words, I have to confess to... if I want get close to her? Heck no, such a move is too embarrassing to be conducted!

Now I've to decide whether to hold steadfast to my principles or just go along with the crowd once more? The longer I continue to drift aimlessly, the further apart I am from the crowd on the opposite shore. Should I swim across the water body between us and leave my past behind?

This is something I came up with a few post in the past. So now I'm quoting myself.
Awful reply: I am not photogenic. I don't like taking photos. The internet is malicious and digital abuse of my personal information is scaring the hell out of me from displaying photos online.
Pleasant reply: I'm always the one holding the camera, and don't expect me to give up my position without a proper fight.

Deng, my thoughts are disorganized with various issues. Will post more often in the future by the request of Eldwin. Will post more reader-friendly materials as suggested by CR. Will be more easy to be approached and less pessimistic as shown by Lew. But I don't think I'll comply to the earnest demands of Tian, Ee Jane and Melody to upload more photos. Will I deny their earnest request?

This day marks the birth of a new individual! Begone, the past Alex!

  1. Hey bro!!

Yo dude, lunch was cool today. Haha.. really surprised to see you all pull up in Leo's Mercedez.

(okay enough of the small talk)

Dude. Keep up those thought-provoking entries of yours man. I enjoy reading normal entries just as much as the next person - but nothing ever beats something that makes you think and formulate an opinion about! It's one way to prevent my brain from 100% completely rotting and to be honest it's intriguing as i like to reflect on general philosophies on life sometimes as well. :-)

But yes sometimes actions do prove futile despite our effort. I have had experience in one situation where it seemed both 'thought' and 'actions' were unsuccessful and apparently a waste of time. But this is true depending on the situation. Because to have the 'thoughts' about something, sometimes it will accidentally leak into our actions even without us knowing! And sometimes, things really can't happen unless we try because society judges us based on our actions our thoughts are based on because we are unable to mind-read. But yes, to a certain extent sometimes actions seems irrelevant.

And dude, don't abandon your old self. Hehe. You are just fine the way you are! Rather go for self-improvement and quality enhancement than starting anew. After all why throw away a perfectly good drawing when all it needs is twinks here and there. :-)

    Your buddy,
    Eldwin

P.S. Great entry man.. keep it up! Always enjoy reading what you write.

  2. I don't think I'm really okay with the way I am. Take a look at my situation: the only friends that I really have in my class are all foreigners; I cannot approach people that easily.

But hey, I am really happy after reading that long reply of yours. I do wonder do you really my thought-provoking thoughts; many just can't understand. Anyways, thanks for your support, both in real life and alos this blog.

  4. Dude...I'm confuse. LOL

1st of all..you shall not expect me to come to you for a drawing in the meanwhile~

*squint eyes* Study of idea in perfectionism ???*eye wide open*
The 'thoughts that counts' apply only apply when giving presents as far as I remember..action is always louder than words. Pleasant white lies are everywhere and so easily mustered, but there's no point in it if there's no effort and work done, the harder part. Unless..you're talking to someone on the brink of death *raise eyebrow*

When given the chance, you should grab it...isn't it? You might lose 'her' to your 'ego' =P

And ~Change if its what you really want for yourself, and if it makes you happy. But no point changing yourself to please other people when you yourself will not enjoy it.

And did I demand for more photos *blink* Forgotten... I don't mind actually =P I did suggest you change your blog into a private one, but since you're more into...expressing and discussing all these 'thought provoking' materials to the public, then privatizing it may not be the best choice.

  5. Thanks for your constructive comments. I'll try to interpret them as something positive... though I partially don't think so. Haha.

The girl ah... I guess I can wait... Can she?

My opinion that "thought that counts" is a white lie that leads to compromisation and further complication. Therefore, my thoughts are concentrated on how to counteract this distorted situation of the world (total exaggeration).

To the issues of being public or private, my stand is to be public. And for that purpose, I'm trying to post materials that appeal to all.
