Fan Wars: The Rise of the "Prosumer"

Gonna try to re-commit myself to consistent write blog posts
So I will write on random topics
particularly those relate to the song
on my playlist

So, the 89th Comic Market is being held at Tokyo Big Sight
As I write this post
The 2nd day of the event has ended
Fan artists, workers, cosplayers, fans, photographers, commercial retailers
all of these people would be on their way back home
to rest up for another day
because tomorrow would be the last day of an bi-annual event

While the author, artist and the publisher make fictional works
like games, novels, and comics
I would like to stress that the support (including financial support) of fans
are very important to these fictional work producers

Furthermore, fan community has evolved
such that they not only a consumer
but also a producer of fanfiction work
which could come in various forms
like music, fanart, fanfiction write-up and cosplay costumes
(this situation is known as "prosumer", where one is a consumer cum producer)

Comic Market, also known as Comiket
give a place for these fans to exchange their works physically
While the internet has become a better platform for such exchange of fan works
the fan community stills find such physical anime, comics and games (ACG) conventions
a cozy home
for them to share their interests
