So I've went to ComicFiesta 2011
and to be honest, I've changed after the event
=3
My friend's sister. I couldn't believe she's only 16 years old =O
Secondly I've met lots of crossdressers
who openly show their dislike for gender stereotyping
For someone who had been pondering on the issue of gender identity for some time,
their attitude definitely help me to further reflect on the issue
(do note that gender identity and sexual orientation are two different topics)
I've heard that Penang's ACG events have even more crossdressers
and their ability to cosplay characters of a different gender is truly amazing
Hopefully I have the chance to see those awesome cosplays
So, did I enjoy the event?
YES, I definitely did had fun at CF'11
Though I would have wanted to spend more time at the doujin booths
but I guess that spending quality time with friends that clicks
was time well spent as well
so for those whom I've met at the said event
thank you for being a big part of my life
P/S:
Shinkai Makoto's latest flick,
Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo,
was a really good tearjerker.
Damn, I thought I was mentally prepared.
Yet, it was so touching that it broke my fortress of tears TWICE
throughout the length of the film
For one, I will definitely put more effort to be a better cosplayer
At the beginning, I decided to cosplay
for the sake of further understanding my cosplayer friends
and also to have a shot at cosplay photography
The Secret Police cosplay group at CF'11 Day 2!
But now that I've tried cosplaying,
I find myself torn between being a cosplayer and a cosplay photographer
This is one of my comrade-in-arm from my university. Glad to be meeting him at the event by chance.
Didn't really have much chance or time to take photos of other cosplayers
Perhaps it was just because I was a bit shy to ask
But either way, most of the time at the event was spent
meeting new friends (from Shin Megami Tensei cosplay group)
and also catching up with some old friends
C.C (from Code Geass) offering me pizza? Nah, it's just a fellow cosplaying friend.
