VOCALOID

Ever heard of the phenomena known as VOCALOIDISM? Do you wonder what it is?

After some recent events, I do think that I should blog more about anime and jpop. Here I would be introducing you to the world of Vocaloid!

Vocaloid is a product from the Yamaha voice synthesizer technology. With this software and a few other tools, you could now write a song and have the said software to sing it for you! As such, Vocaloid is sold with the concept of singer-in-box.

As you can see above there is a drawing of a girl. That girl is the virtual character Hatsune Miku, one of the most popular Vocaloids existing in the market. Of course Vocaloids also cover male voices. But to be honest, most of the Vocaloid2 series could not sing English songs as good as compared to Japanese song. That's quite a shame for those who could not understand the Japanese language.

In fact, my exposure to Vocaloid was the sole reason for me to learn the Japanese language in the first place. Sadly, my favourite smart.fm website will no longer be serving me to improve my mastery on that language, at least not without a fee.

I admire the fact that everyone can create music with Vocaloid! To see so many artists emerge on Youtube with the rise of Vocaloid just gives me the idea that everything you dream off can be achieve, with the help of technology of course!

So here I present you, Hatsune Miku!!

Hmmn... when can I get my hands on a camera of my own? I really want a DSLR to take photos.

Wait...

Most probably I will neglect the camera after I get one, just like my Bamboo graphic tablet.

Guess I better put hold my plans of getting a digital camera for the moment...

Firework

Happy 2011! Glad that I could have a fresh start in life! Now I'm gonna try to forget all that shit that happened last year.

I know I did not update this poor blog for more than a month. No excuse for that. I know I seriously lacked of determination and willpower.

So to put it to the extreme limit, one of my new year resolution is...

NO INSTANT NOODLES FOR A YEAR!

...

13th January 2011. 10:38PM. Rainy.

It's been 13 days since I tasted instant noodles but I still crave for it. After all, instant noodles is like my staple food, just like rice is to most Asians. I think I kinda understand why it is hard for smokers to quit smoking already. Craving leads to suffering.

...

Oh my gosh, am I close to attaining enlightenment? Guess I could call myself an false prophet or arahant already.

Well, enough of my fake doctrine. Goodbye, for the moment. Do stay tune for more crap.

Mario Solo Piano Medley

Right after our exams were over, me and my coursemates went to Sg. Pelek to have food. Ok, the food was not exceptionally delicious, but our effort to travel far in the quest for tasty food made it taste better.

I have to admit that this piece of customized Gundam model set was the most impressive model set I have ever seen in my entire life. After all, there are no dragons or unicorns in factory-made Gundams models.

This is the largest Gundam model I have ever seen. It can be found at Sg. Wang Plaza for a limited time only. Guess it had already been removed from the site.

I Wanna

Last week I begged my friend to bring me along to an IET YMS team-building camp at Kuala Selangor even though I am not an IET member. The camp was just awesome. We stayed for a night at a rented house in Pasir Permatang (if I am not mistaken).

We made a detour to Klang on our way back. That presented us the opportunity to taste Klang BahKutTeh at... Klang of course.

Klang BahKutTeh. You might think I'm carnivorous solely based on the photo above.

But for the sake of the environment, I am trying hard to cut down the amount of meat I am consuming. Still, meat is so tempting... gosh, I am getting hungry already looking at the photo above.

Does anyone do BahKutTeh delivery? It's a great business idea~

I do think that it was a waste of money to see fireflies at Kuala Selangor. Until now, I still think that the lights that I saw were LED light bulbs.

Chase This Light

You Were One of the Emo / Goth Kids

When you were in high school, you were still figuring out what you were all about.

You underwent an intense period of self exploration, and you learned a lot about yourself.

You may have felt like a bit of an oddball, but luckily you had friends who were in the same boat as you were.

You probably aren't very goth or emo these days. However, you still are likely to see things from an alternative point of view.
