God Only Knows

The World God Only Knows. The only harem setting I approve of.

Elsie getting ignored by her partner a.k.a. God of Conquest.

Come on, who can deny the attraction of this anime/manga series. For one, the protagonist is a playboy who could (practically) get any girl and yet prefer 2D characters. To add on, devils are cute little girls who return souls to hell (and then the souls go to heaven) instead of taking souls.

"I can see the ending".

It seems that every girl conquest by this God needs an ending. Or else he would not be able to live by his reputation as the God of Conquest. Well, I doubt anyone I know could actually live to his/hers own ideal while ignore their attachment to reality. But I do wish that I could attain such enlightenment just like the protagonist, Keima.

But still, do girls really fall for sweet talk that easily?

I know I'll get one hell of a smack in the head if I try to ask this to my female friends.

Traverse Town

Congratulation for celebrating your 2nd birthday with me, my dearest laptop! I seriously cannot imagine a life in varsity without your company. There would be no life at all! Even the Stringrays (INTI Frisbee team which I recently joined) uses Facebook to update all its members on practice sessions and tournaments.

It's not that I could not eat more, but due to financial constriction, I could not have more unagi and seasoned octopus! Never mind, I will save up for a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun instead! Hmmph!

One of my latest possession. It is a Japanese tea cup that I redeemed from Nottingham's Japanese Society after spending RM20 at their Bunkasai (文化祭) . The made-in-China cup itself did not worth RM20, but the experience definitely did! I got to know 2 cosplayers from INTI Nilai through the event, though I doubt they will remember me T_T

P/S: Even though I hate to admit it, but 43 wall posts on Facebook reminded me that I am now another year older. That sucks. If there is a birthday wish, I would wish that I stop getting older.

Hourou Musuko Chapter 96

I wanna do a quick summary of the latest chapter for Hourou Musuko. It had been more than a month since the release of the previous chapter on MangaFox.

I've been looking all over Malaysia for the original comic book but I have not come across any yet. It's such a great manga as it strongly emphasizes the emotional growth of its characters.

Have I mentioned how I am emotionally attached to this manga series? I do not mind saying it another time. I don't mind saying it another hundred times.

To be honest, this chapter of Hourou Musuko reminded me of the lyrics for Maroon 5 - Misery. Sometimes it is not about what you did not feel, but rather what you did not show. Takatsuki decided not to confess her crush for her teacher when she had some time alone with him. This action somehow reflects the growing maturity of Takatsuki.

Being depressed for not getting into his first choice of high school, Nitorin made a bold decision to dye his hair red just for a change in pace. Although he received negative feedback from his sister and other family members, his brave action won my heart (once again).

Nitori have the guts of a man for someone who wanted to be a girl.

Maiko being an ass again. She speaks directly to the point, leaving no mercy. But that's the reason I like her character. And yes, we readers will always be sympathizing the pitiable protagonist, Nitorin.

Saori saying goodbyes? Previously I was happy that Saori grew up in maturity and got herself over Nitorin with a boyfriend. But now, knowing that the trio (Saori-Takatsuki-Nitorin) are going separate ways just make me feel so sad. Gosh! Why can't Nitorin recipocate Saori's feeling at the very first place? That way, we would not see the fallout of the trio.

Though this is not the final chapter of the manga series, it does give me the feeling that the plot had came to a brief but mature conclusion. Thus, I will be dropping the manga series off my list. Takatsuki and Saori will be going to the same high school. Sasa and Sarashina will remain optimistic through the series while Makato will continue to chase after Nitorin footsteps. Hopefully Nitorin will not be pitiable anymore.

Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!

Did I mention that a new VOCALOID album had been released in the market? It's called (be prepared for a very long name) EXIT TUNES PRESENTS GUMism from Megpoid. Do check out the hyperlink for download and a complete track list!

Ever wonder what I find the VOCALOID phenomenon really interesting? Because of this series of software, many amateur music producers were able to enter the limelight without the necessity to be affiliated to music studios or major track record producers.

The greatest success story I known would on supercell (ryo). After working on VOCALOID and coming into limelight with their previous self-titled album , the band is now working with real singers (including Nagi >.<) to produce music. Their newest album Today Is A Beautiful Day is even better than their previous album now that they have real human singers!

Sharing is caring... as obligated, I hereby present you my recent video clip addiction: the Nyan song! The vocals are from... (u guessed it) VOCALOID Utau! Though it is quite a hit on Youtube, but no one pay attention to the fact that it is originally a VOCALOID music piece.

I hope that you enjoy the video clip as much as I do!

Prayer Will Live

For a very long time, I learnt of the power of prayer.
When you are helpless, you pray.
Prayer, as the strongest pillar of strength mankind has ever known,
can help you to make it through the day.
This I definitely understand.
After all, I believed that faith
can be man's strongest weapon.
Yet, as a science student,
I refused to accept it
unless empirical experiment results was available.

I pray that tomorrow will be a beautiful day...
There's a Ultimate Frisbee tournament at UM
And I am participating!

Beautiful Fighters

I realized what I've missed by quiting Boy's Scout halfway during secondary school.
Though I would admit that it was not entirely the "family" that I expected it to be
I regretted for giving up after being pressured by the Troop Master then.
While scouting was physically difficult at that time, that was not the main reason I gave up.
In fact, the sole reason I quited Boy's Scout was
because I was heart-broken, which was due to the total lack of support from fellow scouts
who I considered to be close peers.

That was my first taste of betrayal.

Yesterday, after attending INTI Rovers Induction Day
I recalled why I joined Scouts in the first place.
I may have failed to live up to my dreams in the past.
Now I will try to fulfill the dreams of others
and to keep the promise that I made to myself.
A simple promise
to make the world a better place.

The Scout's Promise.

I rather be pleasing myself to be of service to others VOLUNTARILY
than to carry out my duty of servicing people INVOLUNTARILY
at least both parties will be happier
at least I might be a little happier. Hopefully.
